Opportunity for local authorities to develop a community energy plan

Lucy Dixon
21.05.2021

Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE) is  offering two local authorities in England the chance to take part in a renewable energy community consultation project – and there is still time to apply.

In each case CSE will develop and run a detailed engagement process to help local communities write an energy strategy to feed into their council’s Local Plan.

Funding from MCS Charitable Foundation means CSE can provide a 50% subsidy for this engagement process.

It is looking for two local authorities that already have a good understanding of the technical opportunities for renewable energy deployment in their areas and would be interested in this opportunity.

If you are part a council and are able to make decisions about working with us on a project like this, fill in this short survey  by 28th May 2021.

For more details, contact Rachel Coxcoon, director of CSE’s Climate Emergency Support Programme.
