Buro Happold is to launch its SmartViz technology as an independent business.
Dr Shrikant Sharma, Group Director and Head of Analytics, conceived and led the development of SmartViz – a real-time analytics platform to boost building performance and user experience and will be leaving Buro Happold to head up the new business.
SmartViz was introduced as Buro Happold’s first SaaS product in partnership with Microsoft last year. It is described as an intuitive platform that boosts the performance buildings, and the people in the buildings.
Realtime data analytics, predictive ‘day in the life’ simulation and scenario planning can help building owners and managers optimise their space, creating a more productive and energy-efficient building for all.
Buro Happold and SmartViz will continue to collaborate for the benefit of clients in the rapidly maturing field of data and analytics.
