This year’s E.ON Energy Innovation Days are being held from 5th to 7th October.
During the virtual event – running for the 4th time – more than 70 leading international experts will discuss how innovation is driving the energy transitions, with over 10,000 participants from industry, research and politics expected.
The focus of the events is on the exchange of ideas and concrete solutions for the path to a CO2-neutral, digital and decentralised energy future.
Leonhard Birnbaum, CEO of E.ON, said: “The energy transition is an enormous challenge and one of the central tasks of our time. We will only be successful if we focus on innovations and courageous partnerships – at all levels of society and across corporate boundaries. Here at E.ON, we want to be pioneers and drivers of this change. E.ON Energy Innovation Days is a meeting place for everyone who wants to shape the future energy world together.”
Each of the three conference days focuses on a particular pillar of the energy transition: Electrification, Connectivity and Digitalisation: Are we heading towards the end of the central energy markets? Where will the green hydrogen for our future energy supply come from? And what can quantum computers already do to advance the energy transition today? Experts and participants will explore these and issues together.
In addition to members of the E.ON Board of Management, the speakers include leading industry experts from Google, Sony, Eurelectric, the European Energy Exchange, NEOM, RWTH Aachen University, Ludwig Maximilian University Munich and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
This year, for the first time, the interactive platform Republic of Innovators will serve as the virtual venue.
