The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has revealed the timeline for the upcoming second wave of the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF).

The SHDF will upgrade social housing, so that it can meet Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) C and will support the installation of energy performance measures in social homes in England.

Up to £700 million will be made available in the first tranche of Wave 2. There are likely to be subsequent smaller tranches of funding following this.

Eligibility

Local authorities, combined authorities and registered providers of social housing (including housing associations and ALMOs that are registered providers) can apply to Wave 2 of the SHDF for funding.

How to apply

The competition window for SHDF Wave 2 funding will open in late August / early September 2022, but you can begin preparing applications now.
