Emma Clancy has been appointed as the CEO of Salix Finance.

Emma will take the position from mid-October after joining from The Consumer Council for Water (CCW), where she has been championing the needs of people in the water sector for the last three years, building the profile of CCW and turning it into a campaigning force, while forging collaborative and productive relationships across the sector.

Emma has a track record of delivery in a range of sectors including construction, building regulations and not-for-profit organisations, and will take up this new role at a time of unparalleled change to meet the pressing need to decarbonise public sector estates.

Dame Teresa Graham DBE, Salix Finance Chair, said:

I am delighted that we have secured such a talented candidate. Emma possesses all the qualities we were looking for, with many years of experience and a strong track record of leadership. I’m confident that Emma will lead Salix into a further period of growth. We have exciting times ahead and Emma is well up for the challenge.

Salix has been at the forefront of decarbonising the public sector and Emma’s immediate tasks will be to refresh the organisation’s strategic direction, continue to ensure delivery through a period of growth, and work with our partners in supporting the UK’s net zero journey.

Emma Clancy said:

I am very excited to be working once more in the built environment and can’t wait to lead Salix through what promises to be a challenging but exciting period of growth, delivering fantastic buildings for those who live and work in them.
