Future Leaders is a brand new leadership development programme, created to empower and equip the next generation of energy professionals as the industry moves towards a net zero future.
Supported by APHC, Bathroom Manufacturers Association, CORGI, Builders Merchants Federation, Ground Source Heat Pump Association, Heat Pump Association, Installer, MCS, SustMeme, TrustMark and your navigator, the initiative is designed to ensure that the energy industry has the right people in place to promote low carbon technologies and the key role they will play in the green economy.
Failure to meet global net zero carbon emission targets, will be nothing less than catastrophic. Many of those leading this fight, will be over 70 years old by 2050.
Today’s leaders have a responsibility to ensure a legacy of ‘future leaders’ – leaders who are equipped and ready to effectively lead organisations with the awareness and savvy to ensure net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

Behind the Future Leaders launch is the hope that it will operate as a think tank and a talent generator. Through seminars, roundtables, conferences and training, the intention is to bring industry professionals, academia and government together to identify what needs to be done, who needs to do it, and what the roadmap for this activity might look like.
Effective leadership will be key to a successful low carbon economy, and Future Leaders wants to ensure that we start to develop and encourage those leaders now.
The Leaders Programme will include mentoring from senior leaders from different organisations, as well as a programme of speakers on a range of topics, from climate adaptation to commercial awareness.
We will be reaching out across our industry to welcome participation from as many stakeholders as possible. Equally, the organisation will be looking to build an influential lobby within Government and the wider sphere of influence.

There will be input and oversight from a ‘leadership council’ of industry leading specialists and 1:1 coaching with a Professional Certified Coach. A range of materials will support the ongoing application of learnings, with the learning programme accessible through Zoom-based virtual delivery.
